It was with great pleasure and pride the Stockholm School of Economics hosted the 35th PIM Conference in October 2008. The conference marked the beginning of our centennial anniversary, and I would also like to view it as a statement of SSE’s commitment to PIM in particular and to the value of international cooperation in general.
Personally I gained a lot of new and interesting insights by attending the Deans’ Track, and I would like to thank the PIM Chairs for all the work they put into planning the parallel sessions. It was also very rewarding and inspiring to meet with so many fellow deans, and I found our discussions immensely interesting.
I hope you also benefitted from the conference content and from meeting colleagues from all over the world, and that you enjoyed your stay in Stockholm. The SSE is happy to have had you as our PIM guests, and I hope that you will come back and re-visit us whenever an opportunity emerges.
I am very much looking forward to meeting you all in Texas.
